Events In Singapore August 2017

There’s always something new to do in Singapore but August brings about an additional flurry of National Day-related events.

Including festivities which commemorate our nation’s independence, here’s a list of 40 events happening in the month of August you wouldn’t want to miss.


1. Haji Lane Latin Fiesta (Street Party)


Put on your dancing shoes and party at the first Haji Lane Latin Fiesta. With a live band, DJ and free shots for the first 100 party goers, this street party is gonna be mucho caliente.

2. Lemonade (Pool Party)

4. Civic District Outdoor Festival


The inaugural Civic District Outdoor Festival will transform Singapore’s Civic District into a festival extravaganza. Festivities include multimedia and art installations, stage and music performances, art markets and food streets.

5. Beerfest Asia 2017

7. Bastille Live In Singapore


For the third time, British act Bastille is set to bring their glossy 80’s indie-pop sound to Singaporean shores.

8. Foo Fighters Live In Singapore

10. Sundown Festival


Instead of the usual repertoire of Asian artistes, the eighth Sundown Festival will prominently feature local music artistes such as Derrick Hoh, FARRAGO, Jack & Rai, and The Summer State to support the growth of homegrown talents.

11. The One Music Festival

21. Open Air Cinema Club: Lion


Singapore Open Air Cinema Club aims to bring Singaporeans the best open-air cinema experience. On 11 August, the cinema club will screen Garth Davis’ feature film debut, Lion. The film follows Saroo, a five-year-old boy who gets lost and ends up stranded in Kolkata thousands of miles away from home.
