This one’s for all the design and history lovers out there. Take a break from your fast-paced modern lifestyle and discover a slower side of Singapore at Kampong Lorong Buangkok with The Last Village tour.

The itinerary kicks off with a walking tour conducted by a licensed guide, where you’ll learn about the architecture and plantations within the kampong. Following that, meet long-term residents who will share with you insider stories about the tight-knit community. They’ll even teach you natural remedies inspired by the local flora, which you can then put to good use at home.

Foodie couples will be thrilled to know that you will also be able to sample handcrafted traditional kuehs and refreshing calamansi during the tour.

1.30pm

Buying perfume for your SO is great and all, but nothing beats a hand-blended version that is one of a kind. Register for a 2-hour Perfume or Aromatherapy Blending Workshop conducted by a mixologist at Oo La Lab, a local craft fragrance lab.

Find out first-hand how perfumes are created as you get a behind-the-scenes peek at what goes on in the lab. Next, choose between the variety of scents available and blend your preferred scents to create a 10ml pure essential oil remedy roll-on or 20ml perfume that’s uniquely yours as a couple.

Now, the next time you’re missing your other half, all you need to do is take a whiff of the scent to be reminded of them.

The Orient Express is recognised as one of the world’s most glamorous trains, which made its first journey back in 1883 from Paris to Istanbul. Fast forward to 2021, and 2 of the original train carriages have made their way from France to Gardens by the Bay for Once Upon a Time on the Orient Express. What better reason is there for you and your SO to dress up (or suit up)?
