Daily Female Struggles
We may not have to go through National Service like every Singaporean son (and we respect you men for that), but being a girl isn’t always convenient. Like when we lose our house keys in 8 different compartments of our handbag with misleading fake pockets or getting booby-trapped in our own bras.
Here are some everyday struggles that’ll make you go:
Should I be “conventional” girly with long hair? Or try short hair for a change?
Other girls’ “summer problems” are our problems all year round in Singapore. *sighs*
Not forgetting pesky thigh chafing and melty makeup woes.
The modern day dating hierarchy.
We’re not just archaeologists when digging up your past. We dig for our house keys too.
When you’re going to die…t.
Whoever said ‘what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger’ obviously haven’t had a period before.
SO. MUCH. YES.
Forget the gym—dressing up is already a work out.
Is he ghosting or “playing-hard-to-get”?
The mystery has been solved: ingrown hairs are just hairs that like to snooze.
When you take a Selena Gomez song too seriously. Can’t keep my hands to myself.
When the word ‘share’ is just a way to make us feel less guilty for ordering two portions.
Dieting is hard. But it’s even harder in Singapore.
Woes of A Female
We can’t take our shirts off when it’s hot and it’s a chore to keep removing underarm and leg hair till they’re bean curd-smooth. But if being a girl means being able to express our emotions freely and receive free drinks on ladies’ night, we don’t mind.
