7-Eleven Now Has Sanrio Character Prosperity Coin Banks To Store All Your Angbao Money This CNY

7-Eleven Sanrio Coin Banks

Let’s be real — the best part about Chinese New Year? Collecting angbaos from our relatives, then eagerly opening them in the comfort of home. To ensure you don’t spend all of your money the moment you receive them, 7-Eleven Singapore has launched a collection of Sanrio character coin banks to make saving an enjoyable experience.

The coin banks

The collection stars eight Sanrio characters decked in Chinese New Year outfits: Hello Kitty, Ahiru no Pekkle, Minna no Tābō, Hangyodon, Kerokerokeroppi, Pompompurin, Kiki and Lala. Each coin bank also features the characters holding onto a detachable golden coin, uniquely inspired by their best friends.

Spot Tiny Chum for Hello Kitty, Teru Teru for Kerokerokeroppi and Bagel for Pompompurin, with each coin serving as a symbol of good fortune for the new year.

The coin banks are 12cm high and 10cm wide, perfect for displaying on your shelf or work desk at home.

The coin banks can be redeemed through 7-Eleven’s Shop and Earn Stamps Programme, where customers earn a stamp with every $5 spent. In order to receive one coin bank, customers will have to exchange every six stamps collected and a top-up of $10.90, or 500 YUU points and a top-up of $10.50.

Note that the Sanrio coin banks are only available as blind boxes. If the adrenaline rush from playing Ban Luck isn’t enough for you this CNY, you can also experience the thrill of manifesting your fave character.
