If you’ve been feeling bummed about missing out on Changi Airport‘s glamping experience, this should put a smile on your face. Capitol Theatre has launched 2 glamping packages, available from now to 31 December 2020. The Glamping Tent Movie Night and Glam Picnic Movie Night will both take place in the historic theatre, located in the heart of the city.

ICYMI, “glamping” is a portmanteau of the words “glam” and “camping”. With the Glamping Tent Movie Night package, you get to sleep overnight in a beautiful tent decorated with fairy lights, set up by local company Glamping Society.  

The package comprises 5 movie passes and 3 sets of Capitol Kempinski festive treats. Check in starts from 6.30pm, which is also when the first movie of the night starts screening. Catch Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and Despicable Me 3 on the screens from 26 to 31 December 2020. 

If you’re more of a games than movie person, there is also a complimentary usage of board games from 10.30pm till check out. Check out is at 8am, and you can even go on self-guided walking trails in the morning.

To elevate your experience, the tents come with pillows, blankets and linen. You’ll have to pack your own towel and toiletries, as well as food and drinks.

If you’d rather head out to one of the nearby restaurants for a bite, the package also offers you 10% off selected F&B establishments. Namely, Berthold, Broadway American Diner, El Teatro, Frieda and La Scala Ristorante. Whether you’re in the mood for American, German, Italian or Spanish fare, rest assured your taste buds will be in for a treat.

The Glamping Tent Movie Night overnight package is available from $330, for a maximum of 5 pax.

The second package is for those who have a curfew or simply can’t part with your comfy bed at home. The Glam Picnic Movie Night package comes with the same deals: 5 movie passes, 5 Capitol Kempinski festive treats and 10% off at the restaurants stated above. 

The main difference is that you will not have an overnight tent and check out is at 10.30pm. However, the picnic set-up, which is also by Glamping Society, looks super cosy too. 

The Glam Picnic Movie Night package is priced at $200 for a maximum of 5 pax.
