Funko has announced its latest collection of figurines named FUNKO PRIDE POP!, in celebration of Pride 2020. The collection features 3 well-loved characters from Sanrio, Warner Bros and Nickelodeon, including Hello Kitty.
With Pride month coming up in June, Funko’s release supports the LGBTQ+ community not just with the rainbow figurines modelled after Gilbert Baker’s flag. According to a statement released by the company, “A donation from Funko has also been made to the It Gets Better Project, an organization that uplifts, empowers, and connects LGBTQ+ youth around the globe, in support of this program. The It Gets Better Project inspires people to share their stories and remind the next generation of LGBTQ+ youth that hope is out there, and it will get better.”
All figurines in this collection, including the Funko Pop! Hello Kitty, are made from vinyl, so you can pop them anywhere on your shelf or work desk and not worry about knocking them over.
The Funko Pop! Hello Kitty figurine has a rainbow gradation across its body, topped off with the feline’s iconic red bow.

The design reminds us of this famous meme. Who knew SpongeBob would be a perfect ambassador for Pride month?
The Funko Pop! Batman figurine will make you see the usually moody cartoon character in a new light. The huge rounded eyes give off more of a cute vibe, while the cape looks as though it is flowing along with a gentle breeze.
The products, including the Funko Hello Kitty figurine, are now available for pre-order on Entertainment Earth’s website at US$10.99 (~S$15.58) each. Otherwise, you can wait until July 2020 to get them directly from the Funko website.
