Climbing out of bed and getting ready for the day can be challenging for some people. I’m guilty of snoozing my alarm every now and then. But, here’s the thing ‒ some women have mastered the art of morning preparation in mere minutes. And on the flip side, there are also those who take up to hours perfecting their makeup.
To find out how long women in Singapore actually take to get ready in the morning, we conducted a poll on Answers.sg.
970 women participated in the poll, and according to the results, 62% of respondents shared that they take 30 minutes to get ready in the morning. 4% revealed that it only takes them 5 minutes, while 17% shared that they need more than an hour to complete their morning routine.
Diving deeper into the results, 4% of respondents mentioned that they take 15 minutes to execute their AM preparations.
When asked about the reason behind taking more than an hour to get ready in the morning, one respondent shared that she “wants to look perfect at any time of the day.”
“If you start to time my morning routine from brushing my teeth to blow drying my hair, it already takes more than 30 minutes,” she said. “Then you must include the time it takes to pick out an outfit, and apply makeup.”
On the other hand, one respondent who chose 5 minutes as her answer shared that she only takes so little time to get ready in the morning because she works from home.
“I just need to wash my face and brush my teeth,” she commented. “It takes about 5 minutes, and I can start work immediately after I’m done.”
Quoting from another respondent who needs 30 minutes to get ready, she elaborated that her preparation time depends on her mood and schedule. On certain days, she might prefer to dress down, and for special occasions such as a morning meeting, she would spend a longer time making sure that she looks professional.
While it appears that more than half of the respondents spend around 30 minutes getting ready in the morning, we can’t deny that individual differences play a significant role in the results.
For instance, some women may feel societal pressure to present a certain appearance, especially in formal or social settings. As such, it is no surprise that this can lead to spending more time on grooming and preparation.
The results also suggest that many people consider brushing their teeth an important step when getting ready. It is after all, a major deal breaker in a partner. Since it helps prevent cavities and gum disease, there is nothing better than owning the right toothbrush that is gentle on the teeth and gum.
Enter the Curaprox CS 5460 toothbrush, a specially designed toothbrush that allows users to brush their teeth at a 45-degree angle with its unique octagonal handle. By brushing at the correct angle, users can prevent bleeding gums and reduce plaque buildup.
