If you thought that Haidilao in Singapore offers the best customer service you’ve ever experienced, Haidilao China takes it one step further. After all, they did launch an exclusive hot pot camping experience just last year, complete with a mahjong set and movie theatre experience.
Beyond manicures and Sudoku puzzles, this time round, Haidilao China has hair washing services. Now you can go on a romantic hot pot date without worrying about the smell of tomato soup clinging onto your hair the whole day.
Douyin user @李想没理想 vlogged her experience at Haidilao, sharing that customers must accumulate 200 “Lao Coins” in order to redeem the hair washing service.
She even asked the Haidilao staff how much 200 “Lao Coins” is equivalent to in cash, to which he revealed that it’s around RMB$10 (~SGD$1.87). Worth it.
Before starting the service, the Haidilao staff gave her a variety of shampoo brands to choose from such as Shiseido, Head & Shoulders and L’Oreal. The Chinese vlogger hilariously replied with “please pick the most expensive one for me” — our kiasu Singaporean aunties would definitely agree with her.
The salon chair isn’t just an ordinary chair either. @李想没理想 revealed that it’s actually a massage chair — it was so shiok that she felt like she could fall asleep instantly.
After shampooing and rinsing, the vlogger was brought to a vanity table where she could touch up her makeup while the staff blow dried her hair. She pointed out that they had an impressive Dyson hair dryer on hand, and joked that she wants to live in Haidilao someday.
That’s not all — the Haidilao staff also offered a choice between two types of hair oil to leave her hair feeling shiny and smooth. The experience ended off with the staff combing her hair, and she even got to pick which type of hair brush she preferred.
As of now, this hair washing service is only available at Haidilao China branches. With how often Singaporeans love to eat hot pot as well, hopefully, Haidilao will extend their services to our Little Red Dot. Check out Douyin for more information.
