If your beauty products are soon to be used up, don’t throw them away just yet. L’Occitane has launched a new recycling programme in Singapore. Called Big Little Things, it allows you to exchange empty beauty containers from any brand for new L’Occitane products.
Starting from 1 April 2020, you can drop off your items at L’Occitane outlets located in Ion Orchard, Plaza Singapura and Vivocity.
Get on board with this new campaign by first creating an account with L’Occitane. You will then be eligible for a stamp system that allows you to claim a L’Occitane product depending on the number of empty bottles you recycle.

You can choose to nab the Cherry Blossom Shower Gel (35ml) after collecting your first 10 stamps, or accumulate enough to get your hands on the other L’occitane products in the list. The more stamps you redeem, the more desirable the product.

L’Occitane will only take in specific items for recycling. These include toiletries such as hand washes, shower products, shampoo and conditioner bottles. Fragrances and candles will also be accepted by L’Occitane for recycling. Body and hair care products such as hand and body lotions, deodorant sticks, hair masks and non-aerosol sprays can be brought in for recycling too. Other items welcomed are face care products (excluding sheet masks) and all L’Occitane eco refills.
Although travel-sized beauty containers can be submitted for recycling, they will not get you a stamp. Only full-sized beauty containers, washed and dried thoroughly, will contribute to your stamp redemption.
Here’s what L’Occitane will not accept: makeup products and hair styling products. Items such as hand sanitisers, nail polishes and removers, and any beauty product in an aerosol cans will be rejected as well. You will also have to remove feminine washes, mouthwash, toothpaste, eye lotions and eye drops from your stash before lugging your items to L’Occitane.
Millennials can take baby steps towards a green lifestyle with L’Occitane Singapore’s recycling programme. All you have to do is drop off your used beauty containers to obtain some freebies while saving the environment at the same time!
