Raffles Hotel Singapore Is Bringing Back Their Annual Sakura Afternoon Tea With Elegant Pink Treats

Raffles Hotel Singapore Sakura Afternoon Tea

Despite not experiencing the Spring season here in our sunny Singapore, we can still appreciate the beauty of sakura blossoms from afar. Luckily, Raffles Hotel Singapore is bringing back their annual Sakura Afternoon Tea set, so we can enjoy these chio flowers here in Singapore too.

From 27 March to 4 June 2023, indulge in an elegant high tea assortment of sweet and savoury treats inspired by pastel pink cherry blossoms.

The tea set

Available at $108 per pax, the Sakura Afternoon Tea set transforms itself once again from last year’s delectable treats. The tea set is served on a three-tier silver stand, alongside a choice of Mariage Frères loose tea leaves or Raffles custom blended coffee beans to wash down your meal.

Dig into the selection of savouries featuring the Salmon Sushi Roll with Avocado, Beef Sando with Katsu Bechamel and Tamagoyaki with Ikura and Japanese Pickles.

Don’t miss out on the Japanese Fruit Sandwich too — if you’ve ever been to Japan, you’ll know how popular these sweet snacks are there.

The highlight of the high tea set is undoubtedly the desserts, each inspired to resemble a sakura blossom. Tea lovers can sink their teeth into the Genmaicha Roll Cake and the soft Kinako Mochi Almond Profiterole placed on the highest tier.

Upon closer inspection, the Sakura Nerikiri Wagashi comes with an adorable design of flower petals along the sides. FYI, Nerikiri Wagashi is a type of traditional Japanese sweet that resembles mochi, so you can have an authentic taste of Japan here in our Little Red Dot.

Don’t forget to snap pictures of this IG-worthy Sakura Strawberry Mont Blanc, topped with an edible pink flower.

Additional desserts also include the Sakura Raspberry Chantilly, home-made original and raisin scones, clotted cream and strawberry rose jam. These sound just like a dream for guests with a sweet tooth.
