If you take public transport every day, you won’t be able to avoid using your EZ-Link card. Heck, these days, you can even use EZ-Link cards to make purchases like your favourite Alisan Tea with Herbal Jelly, 50% sugar from Gong Cha.
Like me, you might dread whipping out your current EZ-Link card due to its drab design—you know, that absolutely unexciting white one with EZ-Link’s logo repeated in various colours.
Well, the universe has heard your complaints.
You can now purchase EZ-Link cards adorned with your favourite Sanrio characters at TransitLink Ticket Offices. Even if you’re a solo rider, you don’t have to feel lonely with My Melody, Pompompurin and Cinnamoroll accompanying you on the bus every day!
An excited commuter Pattita Thanomsat posted a photo of her newly-purchased Sanrio EZ-Link card on EZ-Link’s Facebook page
The cards cost $12 each with a pre-loaded value of $7. Paying a $5 premium for an aesthetic pastel card chock-full of kawaii characters is probably worth it, especially if you are an avid public transport commuter.
They are currently available at TransitLInk Ticket Offices, which have differing opening hours, so do check out the locations and opening hours on TransitLink’s official page.
Besides the freshly-launched Sanrio characters EZ-Link card, you can also purchase the above My Melody EZ-Link cards at select 3 Mobile Telecom and HandphoneShop outlets. They cost $10 with no load value.
My Melody keyring charms are also available at designated Popular bookstores for $29.90 with no load value. You can purchase them from Popular outlets at “Bras Basah Complex, Causeway Point, Compass One, Junction 8, Jurong Point, Marine Parade Central, NEX, Northpoint City (North Wing), Oasis Terraces Punggol, Tampines Mall, Toa Payoh HDB Hub, Westgate, UrbanWrite Northpoint City (South Wing) and UrbanWrite United Square”, according to EZ-Link’s Instagram page.
These adorable Hello Kitty charms were available but have already been snapped up. You can keep your eyes peeled to EZ-Link’s Instagram page for fresh Sanrio character drops.
With these aesthetically-pleasing EZ-link card designs, your MRT and bus rides no longer have to be dull.
EZ-Link has also just launched adorable Gudetama charms in collaboration with 7-Eleven, but word on the street is that they are being snapped up quickly.
