With Valentine’s Day in February and International Women’s Day coming up in March, ladies deserve an extra special treat this season. Sofitel Singapore City Centre’s new botanical-themed afternoon tea set will satisfy all of your cravings, featuring edible flowers and fashion elements inspired by spring fashion shows.
A la carte specials, cocktails and mocktails are also available in matching floral hues, looking almost too pretty to eat.
The botanical afternoon tea set follows the journey of someone dressing up for a fashion show, from picking an outfit to putting on makeup. The line-up includes sweet treats shaped like dresses, lipsticks and even high heels in floral details.
Dig into the savoury creations too, such as Light Truffle Duck Rillettes Croquette with Apple Lavender and the Cod Fish Brandade in Sakura Shell and Ikura. The afternoon tea set is available from 2pm to 5pm daily at $150 for two guests, so you can treat you and your bae to an IG-worthy meal.
That’s not all — add on the a la carte specials to level up your atas tea break even further. Drawing inspiration from the colourful blooms of spring, the menu showcases savoury dishes such as the Fish Brandade with Light Citrus Gel and Olive Dust ($28) and the Pickled Tomato with Eggplant Caviar and Pesto Cream ($24).
There’s even a dish resembling a fresh carrot in the soil, so you can have fun “harvesting” your own ingredients to eat.
Other a la carte menu highlights include the Pavlova with Citrus Coulis and Exotic Fruits ($20) and the Lemon Tart with Berries and Lemon Balm ($20). These treats are a subtle way to confess your sweet feelings to your SO, so you can win over their hearts and tummies at the same time.
Wash down the food with more floral-themed goodies in the form of cocktails and mocktails. Instead of getting a standard flower bouquet as a gift, go for edible flowers with the Spring Symphony, a yuzu gin, retailing at $25.
There’s also the Chrysanthemum Sips made with chrysanthemum vodka, apple juice, lychee juice and lemon juice, served in a teapot at $25.
For those who can’t get enough of the yummy bites from the high tea set, take home assorted handmade cakes that are baked fresh in-house daily. Perfect for small celebrations at home, these include the Honey Cheesecake ($12), Caraibe Chocolate Choux ($12) and Raspberry Macaron ($9).
There’s no need to fret over last minute Valentine’s Day reservations when Sofitel Singapore City Centre’s botanical afternoon tea set has got you covered with beautiful decor, food and vibes. Head over to their website for more information.
