Singaporeans born in the ‘90s would recall that Orchard Cineleisure and Heeren used to be the go-to places for snapping Neoprints. Now, it seems the baton has been passed to Haji Lane since the area is buzzing with photo studios, such as Pixie Loft, a themed selfie studio.
But enter Solace Studios, another new photo studio that impresses with unique photo booths, including one with an elevator concept, and another that captures photos from a low angle.
Opened for business from 17 November 2023, Solace Studios is a two-storey photo studio with nine rooms for customers to take photos. Each room has a different theme, and the ones that will definitely catch your eye are their elevator room and low-angle room.
Located on the second level, the Elevator Eoom looks literally like the interior of an elevator, elevating your photo-taking to another level. It features metallic surroundings, lift buttons, and an intercom system in case you get “trapped” inside. Chances are, the setup is so realistic that you might just mistake it for an actual elevator.
What stands out from other photo booths is the use of fish-eye lenses to capture precious moments. Considering that there won’t be any photographer to witness your goofy moments, be confident and try out daring poses to express yourself.
For trend chasers who wish to take photos from a low angle, Solace Studios’ Low Angle room is a must-visit. Unlike usual photo booths with cameras situated at eye level, the one in their Low Angle room is placed below you.
This means you can get creative and come up with poses you never imagined, offering you a one-of-a-kind result. Rest assured a monitor is also below you, so you can see how you look on screen.
Beyond the aforementioned photo booths, Solace Studios also provides a vanity area with hair dryers and straighteners for you to style your hair. Furthermore, you can also choose from a multitude of props like hair bands and sunglasses to spruce up your appearance.
For weekend date ideas with bae, consider making a trip to Solace Studios at Haji Lane and trying out their unique photo booths. Since no reservation is needed, you can always drop by, especially if you’re in the area.
