Starbucks fans, the future has arrived. You can now skip the queue at ‘bucks by ordering your drinks and food directly from the Starbucks app, which you probably already have on your phone.
Rolled out on 16 September 2019, this new feature on the app lets you collect your order at 32 outlets in the central area, mostly within the CBD. If your office is ulu as heck, don’t worry because the coffee giant has plans to make this available across the country by March 2020.
The process is similar to what you’re used to on food delivery apps. Just click on the food and drinks you want, customise them as per usual, and select the outlet you want to collect them from. After making payment via the app, you can proceed to pick them up at the outlet.
The orders are prepared in minutes, so you’ll probably be able to enjoy your drink once you manage to move yourself from your cushy office chair to take the elevator down.
