You know the feeling of hollowness after you finish binge watching an entire Netflix series and you don’t know how to move on with your life? That was me after Netflix’s The Devil’s Plan ended last month, as I watched Ha Seok Jin being crowned champion and walked off with a grand prize of 250 million won.
Luckily, fans now have something new to look forward to — The Devil’s Plan Season 2, which has just been confirmed by Netflix Korea.
The Devil’s Plan’s popularity was not one to be undermined — it achieved first place in Netflix’s Top 10 Series in South Korea, and was also in the top 10 rankings in 23 countries, Singapore included.
The original producing director, Jung Jong Yeon, officially announced the anticipated release of the new season by sharing, “we will be preparing for a fresh and renewed Season 2”.
Just to quickly refresh our memory on Season 1, The Devil’s Plan stars 12 contestants who compete in a week-long series of challenges that test their skills and strategy. Depending on the entire team’s success, the ultimate winner may get to take home a maximum of 500 million won.
Since we’re excitedly waiting for a new season, we can also expect a brand new cast and more challenging games to push them even further. And for K-pop and K-drama stans, hopefully, we’ll get another familiar idol casted to fangirl over again.
As of now, full details of The Devil’s Plan Season 2 has yet to be released, but with Netflix’s confirmation of the second series, we can be assured that there will be more thrilling games to come. Stay tuned to Netflix Korea’s Instagram page for more information.
