Local influencer Nicole Liel got it right at the 2022 National Day Parade when she said that Ya Kun is one of the things she’s most grateful for as a Singaporean. If you’re in the same camp and spend an embarrassing amount each month on Ya Kun’s Set A, then you’ll be thrilled to hear that sportswear giant, adidas, is collaborating with every local’s favourite breakfast chain to release limited edition apparel.
The collection is titled Raise A Toast, and was made in honour of Singapore’s upcoming 59th birthday. The range currently includes graphic T-shirts, hoodies and accessories such as MakerLab shoe charms and enamel pins, all with nostalgic Ya Kun emblems.
You can get the collection at adidas’ Brand Centre store in Orchard, while the hoodie is also available through the Ya Kun Cherish app.
The graphic tees are priced at $59, available in black and white. There are three designs to choose from: the first features a vinyl graphic of the full Set A, the second highlights a plate of soft-boiled eggs, and the third includes a small, subtle graphic of Ya Kun’s takeaway cup.
We’re huge fans of the grey hoodies, which feature similar Ya Kun graphics on the back.
For Ya Kun fans who prefer to share their love subtly, go for the enamel pins and shoe charms instead. Priced art $10, these are adorably designed as all of Ya Kun’s bestsellers, including their popular steamed kaya toast with butter!
That’s not all, because Ya Kun and adidas have also collaborated to create special collectables! Spend a minimum of $120 at selected adidas stores and on their website and stand to redeem limited edition mugs, or $159 to redeem a tin lunch box! Both are designed with the two brands’ logos, and in Ya Kun’s iconic shade of dark red. If you’re an adiClub member, you will also be able to redeem these collectables from 9 August to 11 August.
The collection is available at the following locations:
*This outlet only sells the MakerLab shoe charms and enamel pins.
Skip wearing red this National Day, and flaunt your local pride with this uniquely Singaporean collaboration instead.
