With Singapore opening borders through Vaccinated Travel Lanes aka VTL, many who longed for a holiday might have already booked their flights for the year-end. As it has been a while since many of us actually travelled by plane, we might forget to pack essentials like a portable battery and neck pillow.
For a comfortable flight to your holiday destination, Balenciaga has released a travel pillow that comes with a hood for you to nua through your flight. Read on to find out how you can make your next trip more comfortable and luxe.
Unlike Balenciaga’s crocs stilettos that received mixed reviews from fashion critics, this travel pillow would win the hearts of minimalists as it comes in a simple black design with a hood attached.
The well-padded neck support and hood are made from 100% cotton and finished with a medium fleece ‒ an apt material to keep you warm, especially when the temperature on the plane dips to an average of 22 degrees.
On top of that, the hood comes with drawstrings so you can get snuggly for movie marathons to kill your time.
Plus, the snap closure allows an even more secure fit when you attach the ends of the pillow together. That way, your neck would be properly supported in the right position.
With this travel pillow in your hand, rest assured that you would reach your destination with minimal neck pain and ache.
The travel pillow retails at USD650 (~S$877.20).
This isn’t the first time Balenciaga released a travel pillow as previously in 2020, they also dropped a luxurious line featuring a silk travel pillow and eye mask.
Decked in black, the travel pillow is wrapped in silk for extra comfort and in contrast, you’ll find the Balenciaga logo printed in white. The edges of the travel pillow are also ruffled, contributing to the atas vibe that it already has.
For those who can only sleep in complete darkness, this eye mask would be helpful especially when you try to catch some sleep on the plane.
Similar to the travel pillow, the Balenciaga logo makes an appearance in the middle of the eye mask, along with ruffled edges. The elastic band provides a secure fit so that the eye mask won’t slip off accidentally when you’re deep in dreamland.
The silk travel pillow and eye mask retail at USD525 (~S$708.50) and USD175 (~S$236.70) respectively.
With more countries added to Singapore’s list of VTLs, there’s no doubt you’ll see friends and family around you travelling overseas soon. If you’re planning to do so in the near future yourself, this travel pillow from Balenciaga might provide you with extra comfort on the plane.
While it is definitely on an expensive end for a travel pillow, those who are interested can purchase it on Balenciaga’s official website.
