With the upcoming Barbie movie hype, many fans can’t wait to dress up like their favourite doll and hit the theatres with their BFFs.
Now, you can take your love for Barbie to the next level by staying in this Barbie Malibu Dreamhouse Airbnb. And yes, it is located in Malibu, California. The place is designed to look just like a life-sized toy pink mansion, so you’ll be finally able to live like a Barbie girl, in a Barbie world.
From the outside, the Barbie Malibu Dreamhouse Airbnb is an exact replica of our childhood toy. It’s fully decked in bright pink hues, complete with a plastic swimming pool slide.
Every spot in this house is perfect for snapping IG-worthy pictures with the caption “life in plastic, it’s fantastic”.
One of the highlights of this listing is that it’s hosted by “Ken” himself, where he welcomes guests to his “Kendom” while Barbie is away. In the listing, Ken states that he “added a few touches to bring some much-needed Kenergy to the newly renovated and iconic Malibu Dreamhouse” — so we can expect more things to look forward to.
Beside the pool on the first floor, guests can have a cookout party at the barbeque pit, complete with a hot pink bar table. On the walls, it seems like Ken has mischievously crossed out Barbie’s name and replaced it with his own instead.
Throw an iconic Barbie pool party by taking a dip in the pool and sunbathe on the comfy sofas. Since the Barbie Malibu Dreamhouse is located above the beach, you can also kick back and enjoy panoramic views of California right at your backyard.
While the Malibu Dreamhouse looks like the perfect place to throw a massive house party, it’s unfortunately only able to host two guests at a time. There is only one bedroom decked in a full cowboy theme, featuring cowboy hats, horse posters and pillows with cow-prints on them.
Channel your inner himbo and explore Ken’s closet, filled with fun cowboy-inspired outfits to play dress up in. We can almost hear Ken’s voice saying “come on Barbie, let’s go party”.
The bedroom door is designed like a swinging saloon door, finished with a horse’s face in the middle and the words “Kendom Salon”. Don’t be too shocked to find a life-sized plastic horse right next to the vanity table though — it’s probably Ken’s ride.
Chill by the sofas and admire the coastline on the rooftop. There’s also a telescope for stargazing with your bae after a long day of partying like Barbie and Ken.
For those who are down for a workout session, there’s also a mini gym set with dumbbells available. It’s no wonder Ken has perfectly-shaped six pack abs — perhaps he can be your inspiration for a new summer bod.
Head over to the outdoor disco floor and dance the night away by blasting your fave Barbie songs on the stereos. And if you want to burn even more energy, don Ken’s bright yellow and pink skates and have a go at the retro-themed roller skating rink.
The Ken-ified Barbie Malibu Dreamhouse Airbnb will only be open for booking from 17 July 2023, 10am onwards. As of now, the price of this stay has yet to be released.
Airbnb assures that “everyone in Barbie Land can request to book this stay”, so Barbie fans all over the world can stay tuned to their website for more information.
