With upcycling becoming a much-needed trend of the future, multiple brands in Singapore are stepping up to do their part.
A company that’s been doing so is none other than Singapore Airlines. After working with Bynd Artisan earlier this year to create products made from business class seats, they’ve returned with another collab with Beyond The Vines that features crunch carrier bags and key tags made from seatbelt hardware and life vests.
Coming in olive, the crunch carrier is made from nylon, as well as other materials from an aircraft. With the front of the bag donning a seatbelt clasp, the side panels in yellow are from the safety life vests we know so well from travelling. If you’d prefer a different colour for the outer layer, simply turn the bag inside out and you get a lovely shade of pastel purple.
Stitched on the bag are the labels of the collaborative brands, completing the colourful look.
The bag can also be made into a handbag, through the handles. Simply adjust the length to however you would like to carry it around. With dimensions of 27cm x 27cm x 15cm, you can safely fit your valuables inside for a day out with your girlfriends.
The BTV SIA Mini Crunch Carrier retails at $159.
Another design of the crunch carrier includes one in dark blue. With dimensions of 40cm x 36cm x 15cm, you can use this bag to bring around more bulky items such as an iPad or books.
Peer closer and you’ll notice a small pocket, made out of lifevest material. Additionally, the bag includes a buckle hardware on the inside, which allows you to hang your items on it for easier convenience.
Of course, the bag can also be folded and rolled, held together with the belt so you can store it without much hassle.
The BTV SIA Mega Crunch Carrier retails at $189.
The collection also comes with a key tag in orange. There are yellow side panels as well as the logos of the brands on both sides of the tag. Entirely made of nylon, the tag comes with a carabiner for you to hook it on items like a water bottle, as well as a ring on the other end. It has dimensions of 15cm x 3cm.
The BTV SIA Key Tag retails at $29.
If you’re travelling overseas for the holidays, bump yourself up to a “first class” OOTD with these limited edition pieces. You can purchase the products on Beyond The Vines’ website. If you’re planning to gift this to someone, order the products by 18 December to receive it on time for Christmas.
Unfortunately, the collection is currently sold out, but keep a lookout on their website and socials as they just might be restocking soon.
