Recently, Potterheads like me had the chance to “enrol” in Hogwarts and experience the Wizarding World thanks to RPG game Hogwarts Legacy. Now, we are also treated to a Harry Potter lifestyle collection from Cath Kidston with apparel, bags, and kitchenware that add a lil’ magical mischief to our living space.
While this collection doesn’t feature Hogwarts uniforms, check out the Herbology Drop Waist Dress, which will definitely impress Professor Sprout. The square neck dress is decked with motifs of Mandrakes, earmuffs, Professor Sprout’s hat, clouds, and wands that repeat in a pattern. Note how the puffed sleeves also add a touch of flair to the overall design.
The Herbology Drop Waist Dress retails at £140 (~S$224.10).
Singapore may not experience the four seasons, but we are often visited by rainy days that make us want to nua in cosy sweaters. Enter the Hagrid’s Hut Sweatshirt that features a printed illustration of Hagrid’s Hut at night.
Surrounding the print in the middle are also motifs of magical creatures related to our favourite half-giant like Buckbeak, Fang, and Fluffy.
The Hagrid’s Hut Sweatshirt retails at £75 (~S$120).
Don’t expect to read your tea leaves like how Professor Trelawney did when you sip on your brew with the Forbidden Forest Fine China for Two. The stackable drinkware features a teapot and two teacups with illustrations of magical creatures such as unicorns, pixies, and Aragog.
The Forbidden Forest Fine China for Two retails at £35 (~S$56.10).
Whether it is a cup of warm beverage or Wizarding World-only Butterbeer, drink them from one of these aesthetically pleasing Mollie Mugs. Available in four designs, each mug pays tribute to the magical subjects in Hogwarts like Potions, Herbology, Spells and Charms, and Care of Magical Creatures.
Each Mollie Mug retails at £12 (~S$19.20).
One character who will always live in the hearts of Potterheads would no doubt be Dobby. Honour his sacrifice for Harry with the Dobby’s Sock Stainless Steel Water Bottle that features adorable prints of him snapping his fingers and motifs of socks.
The 500ml water bottle comes with an insulated, double-walled feature that keeps your favourite drink cold or warm for a long time.
The Dobby’s Sock Stainless Steel Water Bottle retails at £22 (~S$35.30).
Admit it ‒ we all wish to dine in the Great Hall at least once. Transform your dining room at home into Hogwarts’ Great Hall by replacing your usual kitchenware with the Magical Creatures Stoneware Side Plate and Bowl. Perhaps with these new kitchenware, you might want to invite fellow Potterheads to reenact iconic scenes from the Harry Potter series.
Magical creatures introduced in the Harry Potter series like Fang, Fawkes, Buckbeak, Trevor, and Norbert can be found on both kitchenware.
The Magical Creatures Stoneware Side Plate and Bowl retail at £12 (~S$19.20) each.
With the March holidays just right around the corner, go on an adventure with fellow Potterheads when you bring along the Magical Pet Spot Recycled Rose Mini Backpack and Magical Pet Spot Recycled Rose Heart Backpack.
Similar to how green and black repeat in the collection, these backpacks also feature the two colours alongside motifs of familiar magical creatures. Both are also made of recycled polyester fibre, and come with a puffy foam texture which is light and comfortable to carry.
The Magical Pet Spot Recycled Rose Mini Backpack stands out with a drawstring function and clamshell cover, and the Magical Pet Spot Recycled Rose Heart Backpack has a handle and zippered outer pocket.

Tote lovers won’t want to miss out on the Hagrid’s Hut Frill Cotton Tote that features frills that frame the edges of the bag. With dimensions of 39.5cm x 41.5cm, the tote bag also comes with sufficient storage to keep essentials like a water bottle and an umbrella. The illustration of Hagrid’s hut greets you once again in the middle of the tote.

Another square tote bag that you might want to KIV is the Magical Pet Spot that comes with a handle and shoulder strap for you to rock two looks. Similar to the aforementioned backpacks, this bag is also made of recycled polyester fibre, and is adorned with motifs of adorable magical pets and colourful spots.

Go ahead and say “Expecto Patronum” when you have the Spells and Charms Small Bookbag. Featuring motifs of our favourite characters’ Patronuses like Harry’s stag, Hermione’s otter, and Luna’s rabbit, the design of the bag is an ode to the third movie of the Harry Potter series.
The Spells and Charms Small Bookbag retails at £22 (~S$35.20).
Shop and run your errands with the Herbology Recycled Foldaway Shopper. Since this bag is made from recycled polyester, there’s no denying that you’ll feel good knowing that you’re contributing to a greener planet while shopping. What’s more ‒ it also features motifs of Herbology-themed items like ear muffs and Mandrakes.
The Herbology Recycled Foldaway Shopper has dimensions of 37cm x 37cm x 7cm, and retails at £18 (~S$28.85).
Although it has been almost a decade since the last movie of the Harry Potter series was released, the hype for the Wizarding World never seems to die down.
Currently, the Cath Kidston x Harry Potter collection is already available in countries like the UK and Taiwan. Eager Potterheads who wish to get their hands on the collection ASAP might want to source for freight forwarders that ship to Singapore. In the meantime, fingers crossed that the collection will be making their way to our Little Red Dot soon.
