Charles & Keith Has A Limited Edition Pastel Purple Bag With 20% Of Proceeds Supporting Gender Equality

Charles & Keith International Women’s Day

Similar to how K-pop groups have different fandom colours, holidays and occasions also have unique colours that represent them. For the unacquainted, purple is the official colour for International Women’s Day, which falls every 8 March.

In support of the Storytelling for Gender Equality project by UN Women, Charles & Keith is releasing a limited edition of one of their best-selling designs The Alia, in pastel purple.

Let’s admit it ‒ we all wish to own a bag that ticks off both boxes for style and function. Enter The Alia, a crossbody bag that adds a chic and feminine touch to your everyday wardrobe.

Featuring a boxy silhouette and chain handles, the bag comes with a push-lock closure and metal studs on the sides that give an edge to your OOTD.

Open up this pastel purple iteration by Charles & Keith, and you’ll find a spacious interior that fits essentials like a wallet and a packet of tissue. Thanks to its dimensions of 18.5cm x 18cm x 8cm, you might even be able to squeeze in a compact umbrella to keep you dry during rainy days in Singapore. There is also an additional zip compartment to store dainty items.

Every purchase of The Alia comes with a Charles & Keith box, so consider gifting this accessory to your fellow girlies to show appreciation.

The Alia retails at $75.90.

The proceeds

As previously mentioned, Charles & Keith is participating in the Storytelling for Gender Equality project by UN Women. The brand is donating USD$100,000 (~SGD$135,000), and 20% of all proceeds from the special edition of The Alia to fund the movement.

They hope that by building a close-knitted female community of storytelling advocates in the Asia-Pacific region, their stories will spark meaningful conversations, and create a safe environment for survivors of gender-based violence to speak up. Plus, they also aim to raise awareness of gender discrimination, and work towards a fair and equal society.

Also joining Charles & Keith as their community ambassador is TikTok content creator Zoe Gabriel ‒ the 17-year-old who went viral after posting a video documenting her first luxury bag purchase, which was one by Charles & Keith.

She hopes to celebrate this coming International Women’s Day with compassion and equality through equity, and reminds everyone that they are beautiful in their own way.

Celebrate International Women’s Day With Charles & Keith
