Japanese fashion label Comme des Garçons Play’s logo is a common sight nowadays. You won’t be hard-pressed to see its signature red heart on cardigans, t-shirts, sneakers and even socks on a casual stroll around town. Theis also no stranger to collaborations. This time, it is teaming up with Nike and Converse, 2 other brands known for their iconic logos. 

For this drop, the 3 companies will release the PLAY TOGETHER collection. It includes capsule pieces featuring the CDG Play heart, Nike Swoosh, and Converse star and chevron. If you’re wondering how to cop the pieces, the good news is that the upcoming launch will soon be available at Dover Street Market Singapore.

White t-shirts

Basic white t-shirts are classic pieces that will never go out of style. The PLAY TOGETHER collection has 3 designs for you to choose from. 

Combining some of the most recognisable logos in the market like Nike’s Swoosh and Comme des Garçons’ Play heart will give your street cred a major boost. 

The same can be said for the undeniable star power formed from the union of Converse’s logo and the Play heart. 

All 3 t-shirt designs in the Comme des Garçons Play x Nike and Converse collection will retail at $130 for the women’s t-shirts and $140 for the men’s t-shirts.

Grey hoodies 

For most, a good grey hoodie is associated with comfort and warmth. The snug long sleeves provide a thick outer layer to cosy up in while you blast the A/C at home. This makes the PLAY TOGETHER collection’s grey hoodies the perfect companion to complete your work-from-home look. 

 

There are also 3 designs to choose from for the hoodies, one for each brand featured in the collaboration. The women’s hoodies will set you back $330 while the men’s hoodies cost $350.

Striped shirt

Last but not least, the 7-piece collection is completed with a striped shirt. Unlike the other apparel, the shirt is only available in one design, which displays the Comme des Garçons logo and Play heart. 

You can cop the shirt for $350 or $370 for women and men respectively. 

Pro tip: Get the shirt a size larger for an oversized silhouette to achieve the Korean oppa look.

Comme Des Garçons Play x The North Face

Earlier this year on 18 February, the PLAY TOGETHER collection dropped at Dover Street Market Ginza. Unlike the Singaporean version, Japan’s edition of the release included a collaboration with The North Face instead of Converse. 

The North Face’s inclusion of the striped button-up shirt was a welcome departure from its usual casual pieces and outdoor wear. On the DSM Ginza website, the Comme des Garçons x The North Face striped shirts are already sold out in men’s sizes. 

Comme Des Garçons x Nike and Converse Collection Brings Together 3 Beloved Brands 

All you streetwear lovers can look forward to this upcoming launch as you can add not 1 but 3 famous brands to your repertoire. The PLAY TOGETHER collection will drop on 5 March 2021. It will be available at Dover Street Market Singapore’s physical and online store. 

In the meantime, you can check out the sneakers from Comme des Garçons Play’s existing collaboration with Converse while you wait for this drop.
