Converse x Bandulu Has Sneakers Embroidered With Paint Splatters So You Can Wear Literal Works Of Art

Converse x Bandulu Sneakers

Bandulu, founded by NYC-based artist Pat Peltier, reworks vintage pieces from brands such as Nike, Carhatt and Champion with hand embroidered embellishments. Its latest collaboration with Converse puts a spin on 2 popular designs: Chuck 70 and Pro Leather. The Converse x Bandulu sneakers feature Bandulu’s signature ‘paint splashes’ motif, adding colourful flair to the classic designs.

Bandulu’s influence is apparent with the embroidery on the body and prints on the midsole of the Chuck 70. The patterns on the high-cut sneakers are meant to mimic paint splashes, a design attribute Bandulu is known for, perfect for artsy folks.

The Bandulu logo is woven onto the tongue. With its prominent placing and striking colours, sneakerheads can confidently flex these fresh kicks to their fellow hypebeasts.

Even the sole of the shoe is brimming with personality, with its pink polka-dot design.

The refresh of the Chuck 70 sees the high-cut sneaker retain many of its famous features. Fans of the shoe will be glad to see the iconic embroidered logo, thick midsoles and white shoe toe.

Similar to the Chuck 70s, the Pro Leather sneakers keep traits of the One Star line, such as the arrow and star on both sides of the shoe.

Of course, the collaboration wouldn’t be complete without the Bandulu signature paint splatter on the toe and top of the Pro Leather shoes.

Truly exemplifying the spirit of working together, both brand’s logos are embossed onto the heel tabs.
