Getting fit is a lot easier said than done. With the limited hours left after a 9-to-5 workday, it’s almost impossible to motivate yourself to hit the treadmill.

1. Singapore Tennis Festival
If this year’s Wimbledon has inspired you to try tennis, the STF is an ideal place to start. With guidance from qualified coaches, the event offers two sessions for beginners and intermediate players to hone their skills. Each session is limited to 40 slots.

2. Fantastic Fridays @ one-north
Bringing TGIF up a notch, the JTC community is offering an intense Zumba session every first Friday of the month. With varying levels of intensity, this Salsa-style workout is guaranteed to help you break a sweat.

3. Cycle For A Cause Charity Ride
If your usual spin class isn’t giving you the kick like it used to, perhaps this three-hour session will do the trick.
While technically a ‘free’ event, the class requires participants to make a S$30 donation for each hour of class. The proceeds will be given entirely to the AWWA organisation to help disadvantaged youths and senior citizens.

4. The Amazing Girls Global Run
Represent Team Singapore in the global run to raise funds for The Amazing Maasai Girls Project which provides quality education for girls in Kenya. Although the event is free and open to all, participants are encouraged to donate S$25 for the 5km or 10km run.

5. Outdoor Family Yoga
Happening at Bishan Park is a free outdoor family yoga session hosted by Yoga Seeds. Bond with the hubby and kids through a series of yoga poses, and enjoy a Sunday filled with laughter to recharge for the week ahead.
