Last August, LeSportsac launched a limited-edition Hello Kitty-themed collection to celebrate Hello Kitty’s 45th anniversary. Now, Hello Kitty and LeSportsac are joining hands again to launch a 2020 collection consisting of bags, pouches and luggage tags. This time round, some of her Sanrio BFFs have also come along for the ride.
Read to the end to find out how you can cop the bags in Singapore!
The first design in the series features Hello Kitty and her Sanrio friends amidst the skyscrapers and well-known districts that make up New York’s cityscape.
The print was created exclusively to celebrate LeSportsac’s roots in the Big Apple. With travelling out of the question, these bags will give you New York vibes that you may not be able to experience for a while.
The most eye-catching design in the Hello Kitty x Lesportsac 2020 collection has to be the NYC Taxi crossbody bag. Hello Kitty’s head is peeking out of the iconic yellow New York City cab. The wheels and Hello Kitty herself appear to be in a 3D design to add a touch of fun to your OOTD.
The bag is shaped like the NYC cab, which means there’s more than enough room to store your trusty umbrella and more. You can choose to sling it across your shoulders, or remove the detachable strap and carry it by the top handle.
The skyscraper print comes in multiple variations including pouches, a weekend bag, a crossbody bag and a backpack.
Covered with iconic NYC buildings and beloved Sanrio characters, the bags are sure to be a conversation starter. Reminisce about the time you spent exploring the Big Apple as you spot landmarks such as the Empire State Building, Flat Iron Building and Times Square.

Besides the NYC-inspired print, the Hello Kitty x LeSportsac 2020 collection also consists of black and red bags with Hello Kitty’s signature bow as a repeated motif and a glossy finish.
Use these pouches as a pencil case to neaten up your WFH stations.
These luggage tags combine the travel theme from the first series with the red and black colour palette of the second series. If you are a huge Sanrio fan, it will probably be hard for you to choose between Hello Kitty on the red tag and My Melody on the black tag. But you can always get both, and use them as bag charms to jazz up your everyday bags.
The last line-up in this collection is a series of rainbow-themed Hello Kitty bags and pouches. Hello Kitty shows up on the tote bag and backpack looking super cute, dressed in what seems like a traditional costume along with a rainbow bow.
Although Hello Kitty is the main character, this collaboration also features her BFFs who also have soft spots in our hearts such as My Melody and Cinnamoroll. If you are excited to get your hands on these collaborative pieces, here’s some good news. According to LeSportsac Singapore’s Facebook page, the collection will be released on 16 October 2020 at LeSportsac’s counter located in level 2 of Takashimaya Department Store.
