Most Singaporeans go to IKEA for furniture shopping, but a handful of us also enjoy heading down to the Swedish company to indulge in their food. Whether you fall into either camp or both, IKEA now has limited edition socks that feature their iconic shark plush and hot dogs to celebrate their 45th anniversary from 27 April to 1 May 2023.
If you didn’t already know, IKEA’s official colours are yellow and blue, so it’s not surprising that these exclusive socks come in those shades.
From bed frames to sofas, IKEA caters for a multitude of furniture that includes statement pieces like armchairs. The first design features yellow and grey armchair motifs, and acts as a stylish accessory when you pair them with open-toe sandals.
Furniture aside, IKEA is also known for having small bites like their soy milk soft serve and hotdog buns to satisfy customers who feel peckish after shopping. Express your love for their signature snacks through this sock design that greets you with adorable motifs of them.
I’m sure when the song Baby Shark went viral years ago, IKEA’s iconic shark plush aka BLÅHAJ came to mind of many. Featuring motifs of their BLÅHAJ soft toy, this pair of yellow socks repeat them in an orderly fashion. Even if you don’t plan on wearing it, you can always gift it to a friend to make their day.
With how exclusive IKEA’s 45th-anniversary limited edition socks are, there’s a catch to it.
IKEA customers can only redeem a mystery pair of socks with minimum spending of $90 on home furnishing products in-stores from 27 April to 1 May 2023 on a single receipt. Since there are only 1,200 pairs available for redemption per day at each IKEA outlet, we advise interested folks to run, don’t walk.
Apart from these novelty socks, IKEA also has other activities planned for their 45th anniversary as shared on their official website.
