We’re always on the lookout for writers who are passionate about creating content for female readers.
ZULA has two types of internships available: one for video producers and the other for writers. Our video producer internships are now full but you can still apply for our writing internships.
As a ZULA writer, you’ll be conducting interviews with inspiring individuals, reviewing the latest female products, writing lifestyle listicles on things to do for Singaporean girls and even trying out “bird-shit facials” in the name of work.
We want to be an inspiring platform for girls and we aren’t afraid to tackle more sensitive topics—like that time we interviewed a young mother whose husband died in a car crash while she was pregnant or decided it’ll be a good idea to review vibrators you can find in Watsons.
Interns are required to commit for 6 months. You’ll need to have an interest in writing female-centric content and you should be able to do so in good English.
An intern pay ranges from S$700 to S$900 a month depending on academic qualifications.
Freelance writing positions
We pay our junior writers $50 an article, with an increment after you pass the trial period of 5 articles. You should have articles published elsewhere already. We also require freelancers to submit at least one article per week with minimal editing required so being able to meet deadlines is a must.
How to apply
Treat your email like the first round of your interview so put in maximum effort and write with personality.
Send in a conversational 3-paragraph introduction about yourself and your background experience. Be sure to include your social media accounts and your period of availability.
All applications should be addressed to Chevonne, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
