Koala Dildo To Help Australia’s Bushfires

Australian brand Geeky Sex Toys has designed a koala dildo to help raise funds for the bushfires currently ravaging Australia. So if you’ve been wondering how you can do your part, wonder no more.

According to Geeky Sex Toys’ website, upon purchase of the dildo, “100% of the profits will be donated directly to the bushfire relief efforts”. They cost AUD$69 (~S$64) each.

The dildo’s design

The dildo is made of 100% body-safe silicone with an insertable length of 5.5 inches. It weighs 170g and is 100% waterproof. The yellow and green dildo has a carving of a koala bear on a tree branch at the bottom. The map of Australia forms its base, allowing it to stand when not in use.

The co-founder of Geeky Sex Toys and koala dildo designer Josh Porter told PinkNews, “We figured, we’re pretty damn good at designing and producing sex toys, so let’s make an Australian-themed dildo with all the profits going to charity!”

“People seem to love the idea that something as random as a dildo can help raise awareness and most importantly money in times like this,” he explained. Porter also mentioned that the response to the sex toy has been “overwhelmingly positive.”

Australia bushfires

The Australian government declared a state of emergency in November 2019, when the bushfires in Australia spread rapidly across all states. To date, 28 people have been killed, with 4 of them being firefighters.

While the bushfires are an annual affair, the unusually long hot and dry season experienced in Australia this year has caused the fires to grow beyond control. It is estimated that millions of animals, especially slow-moving ones like koala bears, have been killed in the fires.
