In celebration of K-pop boy group BTS’ 10th anniversary on 17th July 2023, fans in Seoul enjoyed a gorgeous 30-minute long fireworks show at the Han River. But for Singaporean ARMYs who didn’t manage to catch the lights IRL, you can look forward to another BTS-related treat that will be happening at Orchard Road soon.
From 7 to 16 July 2023, LEGO will be having a BTS Dynamite experience pop-up in front of Ngee Ann City, with IG-worthy photo spots and interactive activities.
Snap selfies with your bias in their LEGO minifigure forms at the LEGO x BTS Big Builds Stage. The figures are 1.2m high and are made out of a whopping 161,000 LEGO bricks in total. Plus, the stage is also decked in ARMY’s iconic fan colour, purple, to show off your borahae pride.
Head over to the Disco Retail Zone that’s inspired by scenes from the Dynamite music video. Here, visitors can get their hands on the LEGO x BTS Dynamite set and other LEGO sets at special promotional prices.
Don’t forget to strike a pose with your ARMY bomb before leaving, as the space also features an interactive photo booth with instant physical prints.
Dance through the Record Discovery Zone with a little funk and soul, as there will be a game for fans to dance along to their fave songs projected on the screen.
The star of this zone is the giant LEGO doughnut on the roof, inspired by the doughnut structure from the Dynamite music video. Fans can also feel free to build your own LEGO doughnut to add onto Singapore’s largest doughnut wall here.
The space also features a BRICKTIFY Me station, where visitors can build their own minifigure of themselves to take home.
ICYMI, the LEGO x BTS Dynamite set was launched earlier in February this year. It stars the doughnut shop, ice cream truck and record store from the music video — and of course, the seven dashing idols in their Dynamite era outfits.
With every purchase of the LEGO x BTS Dynamite set at the pop-up, customers will receive a special vinyl postcard and sticker set. The set retails at $159.90 each, and this adorable replica of the music video set is a perfect addition to every ARMY’s growing collection.
Participants will receive a stamp after completing each activity at the LEGO BTS Dynamite experience pop-up. For those who collect at least three stamps, they will score a chance to play the LEGO Claw Machine filled with special prizes. Purchase a minimum of $49 to get an additional chance at the machine.
The pop-up will be running from 7 to 16 July 2023, at 11am to 9pm daily. ARMYs can also look forward to more exciting games, prizes and photo spots along the street of Orchard Road in the days to come. Head over to LEGO’s website for more information.
