Mark your calendars and set your alarms. Nike Singapore will be launching 2 pairs of sneakers for Valentine’s Day come 6 February 2021 at 10am. We previously wrote about the Nike Valentine’s Day Air Max 90 and all-white Air Force 1 sneakers that the sportswear giant was releasing to mark the occasion in 2021. While the Air Max 90 shoes will be available in Singapore, it seems the all-white pair will not be launching here. The good news is, Nike Singapore will be dropping another pair of AF1 shoes for Valentine’s Day 2021: a red, white and pink pair of Air Force 1 ’07 kicks.
This AF1 Valentine’s Day version sees the sneakers in white leather, pink suede and a vibrant red leather Swoosh, befitting the vibes of the occasion.
The colour combination is already enough to put a smile on your face. But the shoes have a small hidden detail that screams #couplegoals. When you unbutton the 2-layered label on the tongue, it’ll reveal 2 heart shapes, with one stating ‘True love since 82’. Nike AF1 aficionados will be aware that this was the year the now-iconic Air Force 1 sneakers were introduced as basketball sneakers.
Similar to the Air Max 90 shoes, the usual holes on Nike’s classic AF1s have been replaced with heart-shaped cut-outs.
The heel tab sports the Nike Air logo embroidered in a matching red hue as the leather Swoosh. A tiny red heart completes the ‘i’ in ‘air’.
