OH!SOME is a one-stop mega retail store in Johor Bahru
Combine Korean skincare, adorable Disney and Pixar merch, and snacks from around the world, and you get OH!SOME. This one-stop mega retail store has been on the up and up in Malaysia and Indonesia, with more than 80 physical stores in total, in both countries, at the time of writing. While they have yet to reach our shores, you can now visit their Johor Bahru store during your one-day trip.
One-stop destination for adorable merch and daily necessities
Once you set foot into OH!SOME, you’ll be in awe of their wide range of products neatly organised into 15 different categories including perfumes, accessories, blind boxes, and the list goes on.
Of the lot, Disney and Pixar products are some of the most popular items here. The collection features iconic characters such as Buzz Lightyear and Lotso from Toy Story and Red Panda Mei from Turning Red.
Prior to the new Pixar items, Donald Duck and Stitch collections were launched too! And here’s the best part: these come in the form of plushies, bags, stationeries, and more. If you have trouble thinking of a gift for your loved one, you’ll surely find something here.
After you’re done browsing through the cute merch, head to the beauty and skincare corner, where you’ll find a lovely variety of brands, mainly from Japan and Korea. Facial masks, moisturisers, pore-smoothing products, eyeshadow palettes, beauty blenders—just name it, and they have it.
Our favourite part, though, has to be the snack corner with shelf after shelf of sweet and savoury treats from around the world. There’s a huge range of gummies, chips, chocolates, and drinks that make for a great pick-me-up midday snack to have on the go.
What really captured our attention was the instant noodles section, lined with vibrant packets of dry and soup variations from countries such as Korea and Thailand.
Colourful and futuristic interior that makes for a unique photo spot
It’s hard to miss OH!SOME when you’re at AEON MALL in JB as the retail store is adorned with vibrant colours and huge LED displays that exude a futuristic vibe. Don’t be shy about taking your mandatory Instagram pictures here, as it’s spacious enough to strike a pose!
Given the colourful yet modern look, OH!SOME is an ideal shopping spot for people of all ages. Friends, families with kids, and couples are all welcome to have a whale of time here.
