Think of date nights for special occasions, and you might think of fancy, high-SES candlelight dinners. We might not have Bangkok’s Lebua Skybar, which famously featured in The Hangover Part 2, but there are still plenty of rooftop bars in Singapore where you can sip on cocktails with bae and admire the skyline.

A great way to start date night with your hunny is by enjoying a colourful sunset together as you sip on yummy cocktails. California-inspired Las Palmas bar at the Courtyard Marriott Singapore brings you back to 1960s Palm Springs, with its retro, sorbet-hued interiors.
The cocktails are similarly inspired. Try Go Nude ($29), which pays homage to Andy Warhol’s iconic statement, “California will be the first to go nude.” Or take it way back with the Sultan of Swing ($23), a Frank Sinatra signature with a twist featuring Chivas Regal 12, coffee, spiced apple honey, and banana.
There’s also Peggy ($25), made with Herradura Blanco, mezcal, lime, osmanthus honey and bee pollen━a tribute to jazz singer Peggy Lee. And if you love tropical vibes, the Donn Beach ($23) is served in a Tiki mug, made with Plantation 3 Star white rum, Calpis, and passionfruit for a tropical touch.
