With how often Starbucks treats us to their iconic drinkware, we’re always anticipating new merch whenever the festive season rolls around. And with just a month till Chinese New Year, Starbucks fans are already on the lookout for their annual collection featuring the zodiac animal of the year.
As we welcome the mythical dragon this 2024, Starbucks now has a new fantasy collection starring dragon-themed drinkware.
The Year Of The Dragon is one of the most anticipated years in Chinese culture, since it is the only mythical creature out of all 12 animals. Treat yourself to a unique Cold Cup from this collection, showcasing a white dragon soaring across the skies.
For those who prefer to take their morning coffee on the go, opt for the stainless steel mug (left) that comes with a double wall feature to keep your drinks at an optimal temperature.
Or you can opt for tumblers in pink and blue, each featuring a dragon with a keeper riding on its back. Perhaps you can channel your inner Hiccup from How To Train Your Dragon, and pretend that your bottle doubles as his trusty dragon companion, Toothless.
For those looking for more unique tumblers, check out the floral-themed dragon tumbler (left) that features a sleeping dragon figurine on the bottom.
More floral-themed tumblers and water bottles are available in blue and red, adorably displaying a white dragon donning a flower crown.
Since a huge part of Chinese New Year consists of wearing red for extra huat, coffee lovers can also get red dragon-themed bottles in two sizes of 13oz and 20oz.
A blue stainless steel water bottle is also available, featuring a red carry strap on the lid.
If you prefer carrying small bags while out and about, don’t fret. Get your hands on this small 12oz tumbler to fit snugly into your petite bags, retailing at $45.90.
An annual Starbucks Chinese New Year collection isn’t complete without adorable mugs inspired by the zodiac animals. The pink dragon scales and flower ceramic mug (left) features a subtle design to blend in with your kitchenware.
Or you can go all out with the sleeping dragon and its keeper ceramic mug (middle) and the pink resting dragon mug (right) for long sips of your fave drinks.
The red zodiac dragon ceramic mugs come in two sizes of 12oz and 3oz, with the bigger mug showcasing a 3D design of the dragon’s head.
If you’re #TeamTea over coffee, this 14oz dragon scale glass mug with tea infuser set is perfect for afternoon tea breaks. Retailing at $41.90, it comes with a silicone dragon tea infuser, appearing to enjoy a warm bath of tea when placed inside the mug.
Don’t let this tumbler fool you — it’s actually a ceramic canister to store all your trinkets and lucky charms. Complete with a dragon lid topper, it retails at $42.90, and is only available in selected stores.
Keep your angbao money safe in this dragon zodiac coin bank, featuring the mythical creature curled around a red Starbucks tumbler. It’s available at $45.90.
Chinese New Year is also a time for social gambling — mahjong, banluck and in between are just a few popular games to name. Ensure extra luck with the dragon zodiac mini snow globe at $36.90, serving as a lucky charm.
Gift the iconic Bearista dressed up as a dragon to your loved ones, retailing at $46.90 for the plush and $26.90 for the keychain.
As we bid goodbye to the Year Of The Rabbit, it’s time to welcome the Lunar New Year with the majestic dragon. The full Starbucks x Year Of The Dragon collection is now available on Starbucks’ online store and in-stores islandwide.
