It might be 2022, but topics like female pleasure are still considered taboos by some people. To break stereotypes and open up positive discussion in society, the founders of Hedonist and Good Vibes have launched a pop-up space, The Origin ‒ A Passage to Pleasure, located at Siri House in Dempsey Hill.
Free for all, the pop-up is available till 31 March 2022 and comes with women-only workshops on topics like feminine pleasure and sexual health. Read on to find out more about this female empowering event.
Nestled in Dempsey Hill, the pop-up is held at The Art Space at Siri House. The location aims to provide an intimate and safe space for visitors and it even has frosted windows for those who might be shy to be spotted.
The multi-sensory experience begins the moment you step inside as you’ll be greeted by The Prism of Self-Love ‒ featuring watchful eyes which represent society.
Designed as an interactive piece, the artwork has a mirror in the middle with the purpose for you to reflect on your sexual constraints caused by society. It also gets you to embrace your own sexuality and also transform your insecurities into positive affirmations.
To complete the experience, the pop-up also integrates scents and music, emphasising how these senses play a role in pleasure.
Don’t be surprised when you see the pop-up space with some of Hedonist and Good Vibes’ sex toy range on display. Pleasure consultants will also be present every Friday and Saturday to guide you on choosing the right toy for some TLC “me” time. Plus, they will even answer any curious questions about sexual wellness and pleasure you might have.
Rest assured that it is a safe and inclusive environment so be sure to visit with an open and curious mind.
As a cherry on top, the pop-up also includes women-only workshops. Not only do they discuss topics like feminine pleasure, sexual health, relationships and self-empowerment, but they also teach you how to deal with awkward situations like when your child asks about sex.
If you’re also curious about kinks like BDSM or up for some blowjob tips to maximise bae’s pleasure, the pop-up also offers such workshops.
Held every Wednesday, these workshops are conducted by professionals and experts in the field, so you’d know that you are in good hands. Apart from learning something new, you might also find yourself getting to know a community of like-minded women.
