Unconventional Mother’s Day Events

We know our mums love us unconditionally, whether we give her an extravagant Mother’s Day gift or not. But even though she may nag, “aiya don’t need any present lah, just give me a grandchild,” it’s still nice to let the incredible woman in your life know how special she is by planning something equally unique.

Although the yearly ‘wine and dine’ plan is the safest option by default, it’s not often you’ll find these 8 unconventional events for mum, just for May 2017.

1. Create your own “painting” with flowers

Bouquets are beautiful albeit expensive. But if you want something more unique, create your own personalised “painting” with preserved flowers and mixed media. Limzy, an artist known for her “unconventional yet relatable art direction”, will be there to guide you and your mum. Light refreshments will also be provided.

Date: May 13, Saturday
Event Time: 10.00am to 12.00pm
Price: $155.00, tickets available here
Address: Rifle Lounge, 36 Swiss Club Road

2. Zumba with mama

If there’s one thing mothers seem to unanimously enjoy, it’s Zumba—unless they see the word ‘free’ someplace else. So when there’s a free Zumba class on Mother’s Day, you know you can’t go wrong.

Date: May 14, Sunday
Event Time: 10.00am to 12.00pm
