Even if you’re not a big fan of video games, you’ve probably heard of Final Fantasy at least once.
The franchise has attained many noteworthy achievements, from releasing 16 games in the main Final Fantasy series to getting recognised by Guinness World Records as the most prolific RPG series with a total of 87 titles, including the remakes and spin-offs.
Commemorating its 35th anniversary, Final Fantasy has partnered with UNIQLO to bring us a collection of 16 designs, each signifying every part of the main game series.
Start your battles wearing this Final Fantasy I shirt. Featuring the series’ first ever pixel logo that kickstarted the whole game, this black shirt also features a sentence from the opening sequence.
Fun fact: even though the game was inspired by the Tolkienesque fantasy novels, the creator named it Final Fantasy as he expected it to be the last game he ever made.
If you’ve tried your hand at Final Fantasy II, you’ll probably recognise the action panel from the opening battle and a few of the actual lines from the second game printed on the front of this shirt.
Spot your favourite characters from Final Fantasy III with this shirt.
Brighten up your wardrobe with this white Final Fantasy IV shirt which features the enhanced graphics of the main characters.
To mark the game’s 5th edition, this plain tee featuring three Chocobos and a mini chest pocket is a subtle yet adorable design.
This dark grey piece features a group of magitek mechs trudging through the snow towards a mountain village and a list of character names, like Tina Branford.
Probably the most revolutionary part of the entire main game series is Final Fantasy VII. This black tee perfectly encapsulates the seventh edition with individual scenes from the opening sequence, which marked the start of a new animation style with 3D polygons and CG cutscenes.
Wear the Final Fantasy VIII shirt and flaunt your love for Squall Leonheart as he pulls out his Gunblade, wielding it before his face.
Featuring illustrations of the main characters, this Final Fantasy IX baby blue shirt will keep you motivated with a quote from Zidane that reads, “You don’t need a reason to help people.”
The Final Fantasy X shirt features a scene from Zanarkand with actual lines said by Tidus, perfectly fitting for this edition as it was the first time the game offered an immersive story-telling approach with improved animated facial expressions and voice acting.
Kill two birds with one stone by celebrating both anniversaries of Final Fantasy XI — the game enters its 20th year alongside the whole series celebrating its 35th year anniversary this year.
If you’re not a fan of the monochromatic shades of black, white and grey, consider going for this pastel yellow shirt with the Archadian Judges on it.
Flip it over, and you’ll find the symbol of the Archadian empire placed perfectly in the centre of the shirt.
If you don’t already recognise the beautiful Lightning riding on her trusty steed, maybe it’s time you revisit the Final Fantasy XIII gameplay.
The big text on the Final Fantasy XIV shirt says it all — The Scions Of The Seventh Dawn are the main protagonists of this design.
The Final Fantasy XV shirt features a coloured illustration of Noctis, Ignis, Gladiolus and Prompto as Noctis goes on an adventure to formalise the union of states through his marriage to Lady Lunafreya.
Show your support for the most recent edition in the series by sporting this Clive Rosfield shirt.
Besides wearing your Final Fantasy loyalty, you can also enjoy one deck of Final Fantasy 35th Anniversary playing cards when you purchase two or more items in a single transaction from this collection.
Do note that these cards will only be available at the UNIQLO Orchard Central Global Flagship store and on the online store only.
