The highly anticipated third season of the HBO series The White Lotus has unveiled its latest teaser, and it features a surprising new face: BLACKPINK’s Lisa Manobal, known simply as Lisa. This marks Lisa’s acting debut, and the trailer has generated significant buzz among fans and viewers alike.

In the teaser, Lisa is seen playing the role of an employee named Mook at a White Lotus resort in Koh Samui, Thailand. The setting is picturesque, with the resort offering a serene and luxurious backdrop that contrasts with the tense family drama that the series is known for. Lisa is depicted greeting guests, showcasing her character’s role within the resort’s staff.

One of the standout moments in the trailer is Lisa’s appearance in a traditional Thai costume, complete with elaborate jewellery and a crown.

This look hints at a potential dance number or a culturally significant scene, adding to the intrigue surrounding her character’s storyline.

The trailer also showcases The White Lotus season 3‘s impressive ensemble cast, including Carrie Coon, Scott Glenn, Walton Goggins, Leslie Bibb, Michelle Monaghan, and Parker Posey, among others. The series, directed by Mike White, promises more drama and a new crime to come. The show is set to premiere on February 16, 2025.

The White Lotus is a satirical drama that follows the lives of various guests and employees at a White Lotus resort over the course of one week. Its 2 former seasons were set in Hawai’i and Italy—both started off as seemingly innocuous vacation dramas, before unravelling into much darker narratives that examined class conflict, privilege, and personal dysfunction.

Lisa is not the first BLACKPINK member to make her foray into acting. Jisoo, the group’s “big sister” figure, has starred in a couple of Korean dramas. Jennie also featured in the questionable HBO series, The Idol, last year. While the series received flack online for its poor writing, Jennie was praised for her acting chops.
