It’s been 33 years since Nike debuted its classic Air Max 1. These were the first pair of sneakers to feature its visible Air cushioning, Nike’s most famous technology. On 26 March 2020, the sportswear brand will be celebrating its annual Nike Air Max Day with 7 new footwear styles.
Let’s take a look at these fresh kicks.
To kick things off, there’s the Air Max 2090 sneakers. Inspired by electric and solar-powered vehicles of the future (we’re guessing in 2090?), the 2 Air Max 2090 shoes have synthetic uppers and bold details on their heels. Its first design is a women’s-exclusive colourway that has peachy-pink hues for a soft, warm “lava-glow” appearance.
The second pair features a white and black base with blue and red accents for a futuristic look. This design is available in unisex and youth sizes.
We previously spotted metallic Nike Air Force 1 sneakers at Dover Street Market Singapore’s Nikelab. Now, they’re available as part of the Air Max 90 Metallic Pack.
The pack features a trio of styles with gleaming patent uppers in gold, rose gold and silver colourways. To contrast its shimmering texture, all 3 shoes have a white midsole and a gray Air Max unit. These sneakers will be available in women’s as well as toddler sizes.

Nike has also brought back its crowd-favourite duck camo print in the Air Max Duck Camo Pack. Based on the Air Max 90 Atmos Duck Camo that debuted in 2013, the pack features the original Atmos shoe, but with a reversed colour scheme.
Also part of the Air Max Duck Camo Pack is the Air Max 2090, which sports the unique print right under the shoe’s translucent mesh upper for a subtler touch. Decked in black, the sneaker is adorned with red rubber details and a white midsole to elevate your everyday look.
Both pairs of sneakers will be available in unisex, youth and toddler sizes.
For those who can’t wait till March 26, these recrafted Air Max 90 women’s sneakers are already available on Nike Singapore’s website. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Nike’s Air Max 90 sneakers, the brand revamped the classic to give it a fresh look in different colourways. It features the same waffle sole, complete with stitched overlays and bright accents of yellow, purple, pink and blue in polyurethane.
These 7 Nike Air Max Day 2020 releases and more yet-to-be-revealed designs will be dropping on 26 March 2020 on Nike’s SNKRS site and selected retailers, so watch this space for more information.
