Brand Love Exhibition At Art Now
If you’ve already covered all sorts of indoor date activities such as ice skating and rock climbing, Art Now Singapore has a new exhibition for your next unconventional date.
Museum-goers might already be familiar with last year’s exhibition filled with Bearbricks and wax figures. However, Art Now is taking on a M18 twist this time round. Titled Brand Love, this exhibition showcases a bolder theme featuring BDSM installations in “Nike” designs.
The exhibition
The genius behind this exhibition is artist Eduardo Enrique, inspired by the concept of the human obsession with branded goods and idols.
Upon entering the exhibition, you’ll be greeted with a wide array of provocative mannequins in BDSM toys, harnesses and chains. Hanging from the ceiling, the iconic Nike swoosh dangles above with a bondage rope looped through the middle.
After you’ve recovered from the initial shock of the in-your-face sexual imagery, admire the large phallic Nike poster situated in the center. This could be the only time where dick jokes are appropriate on the date.
A quick glance around the room reveals a range of basketballs wrapped in different kinds of sex toys and bondages. Instead of standard couple shots, perhaps you can strike a quick pose with your partner here to spice up your IG feed.
While ball is life to many, it’s impossible to look at this basketball installation while thinking of the sport alone. A bondange cotton rope surrounds the ball, strapping a black silicone sex toy on top.
Make your way to the side of the wall and discover this jarring poster of a girl with a golf ball gag strapped around her face. If you can’t get this intriguing design out of your head, you can also purchase one and take it home at Art Now.
Only 50 customised posters are available and selling fast. So make sure to get your hands on one before it sells out.
Take note that guests aren’t allowed to touch anything in this exhibition. Or if you forget, the wordings on the floor “kindly” reminds you by stating “please do not cross the f***ing line”.
From studded gloves to rectal hooks with golf balls, every little detail of this exhibition is creative and stunning in its unique ways.
