One of the biggest games that came out in 2020 was, of course, Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Since we couldn’t leave the house, building a virtual island of our own brought many of us comfort and joy. Instead of simply exploring islands on Animal Crossing, you can now explore new makeup looks with the newest collection from ColourPop.
The ColourPop x Animal Crossing collection includes eyeshadow palettes, blushes, lip tints and even glitter inspired by characters and details from Animal Crossing. Let’s take a look at the full collection!
There are 4 eyeshadow palettes featuring well-loved characters found on every island. Tom Nook and his nephews, Timmy and Tommy, appear on The Nook Inc. palette with hues of turquoise and cool-toned green shimmers.
Isabelle, Tom Nook’s trusty assistant, has a pink palette of her own dubbed the “5 Star Island” after her goal in helping you design the highest rated island.
Other families have their own palettes too. Blathers and his sister, Celeste, are the face of What a Hoot, a 4-pan palette with neutral brown shades fit for everyday looks. The museum curating owl also has fossil details on the box and palette that add a nice touch.
Lastly, the 3 Able Sisters step away from their tailor shop to model for the Labelle of The Ball palette. It has shades ranging from a lilac shimmer to a matte mauve to match the sisters’ colour theme.
Aside from constructing buildings and chopping down trees, another big part of Animal Crossing is that you get to plant and tend flowers. Named after achievements in the game, the Flower Power and Flower Tender blushes have a cosmos and windflower embossed respectively on each pan.
Flower Power is a cool pink tone fit for spring and Flower Tender is a coral shade that is perfect for summer. If you have trouble cross-breeding these colours in your garden, you can get them in the form of a blush in real life.

Even though each island has its own native fruit, you are still able to collect all of them by visiting other islands. The 6 main fruits in the game feature in the Fruit Basket and Fruit Root lip tint duos.
Look cute in these lip colours as you pick your cherries, apples, pears, coconuts, peaches and oranges from the new lands you touch down on.
Lastly, the collection is completed with 2 pots of pressed glitter powder. The rose gold Balloon Pop comes in a box that looks just like the presents you receive in-game. But now, it’s a little present to hold in your hands for real. Bellionare comes in a gold hue in a pot that resembles the golden coin dropped from trees and rocks.
Balloon Pop’s shimmer will make your eye makeup look pop and works as a highlight. Bellionaire is more loosely packed and can be used in any way you desire.
Whether you’re a fan of Animal Crossing or not, this ColourPop collection makes an adorable present for yourself or a friend. Collect your bells and get them ready as the ColourPop x Animal Crossing collection will drop on ColourPop’s website on 28 January at 10am PST (29 January at 2am SGT).
