In anticipation of Pride Month, companies are going full force with launches to support the LGBTQ+ community. Converse is no exception. For the sixth year running, the brand is dropping a collection to commemorate Pride Month. Just like its Pride 2020 collection last year, the Converse Pride 2021 range features popular silhouettes remixed with colours of the rainbow.
When it comes to high-cut shoes, Converse’s Chuck 70 Hi is a go-to choice for many. As part of the Converse Pride 2021 collection, you’ll get to add a vibrant splash of colour to the popular design. On one side of the shoe, a rainbow print trails from the top to the sole. As Mario Kart fans, we can’t help but be reminded of the classic track, Rainbow Road.
Inside the shoe, you will find the campaign slogan, “Find Your Pride” on the tongue, while the iconic Converse All Star stitch logo receives some rainbow embellishments.
A common motif you can look forward to in many of the Converse Pride 2021 sneakers is rainbow-inspired soles.
The Chuck 70 Hi retails for $139.90.
Those looking for a sneaker to put together a louder ensemble, look to the Chuck Taylor Hi. Its right side sports lively multi-coloured floral prints along with the regular All Star emblem.
On the left, different colours of shards are put together making a design which resembles a mountain range. Perhaps a symbol recognising the journey it takes to “Find Your Pride” akin to scaling great heights.
The Chuck Taylor Hi is available for $109.90.

Given Singapore’s hot weather, we usually find ourselves gravitating towards shorts which many would pair with low-cut sneakers. This is where the Converse Pride 2021 Chuck Taylor Ox comes in. Its floral print on the right is similar to that of the high-cut version.
Unlike its high-cut counterpart though, the prominent graphic is only present on one side for the Chuck Taylor Ox. With the rest of the sneaker bearing in an all-white body, this shoe strikes a good balance between vibrant prints and a lowkey design.
The Chuck Taylor Ox costs $99.90.
Next, we have the All Star Slide to keep the Converse Pride 2021 collection casual. Its design features the rainbow mountain range similar to the Chuck Taylor Hi. Converse’s star and arrow logo and its brand name is embossed on the upper.
Also like the Chuck Taylor Hi, All Star Slide’s sides are mismatched. The right side boasts the rainbow floral prints found in the Chuck Taylor sneakers.
The All Star Slides retail for $49.90.
New to Converse Pride catalogue is the Run Star Hike, ideal for the chunky kicks stans.
From the rainbow laces to the mismatched sole colours and the rainbow lining along the midsole, these shoes are chock-full of details.
The back of the sneaker has a rainbow gradient lining all the way up to the heel tabs. A star is also stuck on the rubber ribbed midsole.
You can cop the Run Star Hike for $149.90.
The Converse Pride 2021 collection is now available at select physical shops as well as the brand’s flagship LazMall store. Make sure to cop these sneakers to gear up your wardrobe for Pride Month.
Additionally, the company has donated over US$1.3 million (~S$1.73 million) to various LGBTQ+ organisations. This year, proceeds from the collection will go to organisations like the It Gets Better Project. Check out the Converse website to find out more about the beneficiaries and the individuals who inspired the 2021 Pride collection.
