After collaborating with iconic characters like Hello Kitty and Naturo, it was only a matter of time before Crocs came up with a SpongeBob SquarePants collection. Well, it looks like the wait for an exclusive collaboration with the cartoon series is finally over ‒ Crocs has just teased fans with its upcoming designs, featuring SpongeBob and his pal, Patrick.
If you haven’t already noticed, Crocs and SpongeBob have one thing in common ‒ they both have holes. This shared feature adds extra fun and uniqueness to the designs in this collection, allowing fans of Crocs and SpongeBob to enjoy the best of both worlds.
In this collection, Crocs’ classic clog replicates SpongeBob’s appearance by greeting us in yellow, complete with his signature sponge holes. Upon closer inspection, you’ll notice that the midsole resembles SpongeBob’s brown pants and black belt.
Beyond the playful details, the design includes Jibbitz charms that represent SpongeBob’s arms and red tie, allowing you to “wear” his outfit. Furthermore, you’ll notice SpongeBob with various facial expressions printed on the side of the strap and footbed.
Alternatively, if you prefer a more comfortable fit, check out the SpongeBob Cozzy Sandal. The design is inspired by Bikini Bottom, embodying the beach and clouds as seen in the underwater world with a sky-blue terrycloth interior.
Similar to the previous design, you can zhng up your look by attaching SpongeBob-themed Jibbitz charms, such as a pink jellyfish, a Bikini Bottom float, and the Chum Bucket ‒ Bikini Bottom’s unsuccessful diner.
Don’t miss out on the details on the footbed ‒ you’ll spot SpongeBob and Patrick relaxing in the ocean, reminding you to take a day off once in a while.
Unfortunately, Crocs has yet to share details on the release dates of the SpongeBob SquarePants collection, but fans can expect them to drop sometime later in 2024. You might want to consider following Crocs on Instagram for future updates.
