Gentle Monster Goes Coquette With Their New Jewellery Collection, Launching 10 Jan

Gentle Monster Jewellery to launch on 10 January

Iconic Korean luxury eyewear brand Gentle Monster is taking things to the next level in 2025 with an all-new Gentle Monster Jewellery collection, starring frames inspired by the “elegance of jewellery”, according to their press statement.

They took to Instagram to publish their first teaser, where a CGI pearlescent oyster shell sings an opera riff before it opens to reveal a pearl embossed with “Gentle Monster Jewelry”. This new collection will be released on 10 January 2025, but PR kits have already been sent to influencers, and we love what we’re seeing.

What to expect with the Gentle Monster Jewellery collection

The collection is mainly focused on spectacles, with only one pair of sunglasses. Across the slate, frames are adorned with pearl and diamente detailling that nods to the current coquettecore wave and Y2K aesthetics, while staying true to Gentle Monster’s futuristic design DNA.

Influencers have also received a bejewelled pearl sceptre in their press packages, but no word yet as to whether this is up for retail so we can live out our Cardcaptor Sakura fantasies.

Why is Gentle Monster so famous?

For the uninitiated, Gentle Monster was founded in 2011 and has since become a household brand in the luxury eyewear market, with over 40 boutiques worldwide. They’re best known for their edgy, often futuristic eyewear designs, spotted on celebrities like Kylie Jenner, Timothee Chalamet, Jennie, and beyond.

The brand has even released sunglasses in collaboration with several celebrities,  franchises, and luxury fashion brands. The latest to partner with Gentle Monster is a virtual fashion project with Tekken 8, where in-game Gentle Monster skins are released along with now sold-out frames inspired by Kazuya Misima.
