IKEA OBEGRÄNSAD Collection
With IKEA known by many as the go-to place for new furniture, chances are, at least one item from your house is from the Swedish brand.
Good news for those who are planning to switch things up in your living space as IKEA’s all-black collection OBEGRÄNSAD is coming to Singapore on 27 October 2022.
The collection
Before you dive straight into the collection, get to know more about OBEGRÄNSAD. It means “unlimited” in Swedish and is designed in collaboration with house music DJ collective Swedish House Mafia (SHM), who’ve taken a break from making hit songs to craft a perfect home studio setup instead.
The 20-piece collection ranges from armchairs to desk lamps decked in SMH’s signature jet black.
Inspired by vinyl records, the OBEGRÄNSAD clock takes on a minimalistic appearance. Instead of having the minute and hour hands, the clock replaces them with two white circles, one bigger than the other. Plus, it also features the dial as a white circle, fixed right in the middle.
The interesting design is no doubt excellent for those who love a minimal-themed living space.
The OBEGRÄNSAD clock retails at $79.
If you’ve shopped at IKEA, you will recall its iconic blue FRAKTA carrier bag. But in this collection, it takes on a black colourway for you to sport a monochrome-themed OOTD.
This OBEGRÄNSAD bag retails at $4.90.
That’s not all ‒ there are two more never-seen-before designs made from the same FRAKTA material for you to consider. The all-black tote bag is great for errand runs while the shoulder bag comes with a strapping belt to store your belongings securely.
The OBEGRÄNSAD tote bag retails at $4.90 and the OBEGRÄNSAD shoulder bag retails at $9.90.
Another piece to look forward to is the OBEGRÄNSAD shelving unit which features 10 storage spaces to keep your music albums, vinyl records, or even your latest collection from PopMart. The section on top is also perfect for DJs to stand and have fun with their mixers as the shelf comes in dimensions of 147cm x 39cm x 96cm.
The OBEGRÄNSAD shelving unit retails at $179.
Whether you’re looking for a new work lamp or LED lights to switch up the mood in your room, the OBEGRÄNSAD collection has you covered too.
Enter the OBEGRÄNSAD work lamp, a desk light source that features three different brightening settings. Its sleek neck design contributes to the minimalist aesthetic that some might look out for. On the other hand, the OBEGRÄNSAD LED floor lamp lets you use lighting to transform the mood in your room easily.
The OBEGRÄNSAD work lamp and LED floor lamp retail at $69 and $129 respectively.
Rugs are great alternatives to give your living space an extra oomph, so be sure to also check out the OBEGRÄNSAD round rugs that come in two sizes, 130cm and 180cm in diameter.
While the round rugs are not the only fluffy items you’ll find in the collection, stay warm with the OBEGRÄNSAD throw which is made from faux fur on one side and smooth velvet on the other.
The smaller OBEGRÄNSAD round rug retails at $69, and the bigger one retails at $139. The OBEGRÄNSAD throw retails at $39.90.
A standard armchair would have you imagining a chair with bulky armrests, but for the OBEGRÄNSAD armchair, you won’t find any of those. Instead, the armchair focuses on simplifying the design with key components like thin frames and an adjustable strap to alter the firmness of the fabric according to your preference.
The OBEGRÄNSAD armchair retails at $129.
Apart from the aforementioned items, you can also find other exclusive designs in black such as laptop stands, cushion covers, slippers, desks, speaker stands, and accessory pouches. For the full list of items, visit IKEA’s official website here.
