IKEA debuts the RESTEN puffer bag at RestFest event
Puffer bags have been all the rage the past couple of years, with brands like The Paper Bunny and Cos releasing their rendition. An unlikely brand making their debut in the puffer bag canon is furniture giant IKEA, who have announced their limited edition RESTEN puffer tote, available at all IKEA stores from 6 September to 8 September only.
We all know and love the classic IKEA FRAKTA, AKA everyone’s fave laundry and barang bag. The REFTEN is inspired by the FRAKTA, but with a pillowy quilted exterior instead of the usual blue tarp material. Its is finished with two blue straps that say, “Leave the rest to IKEA”.
The REFTEN bag is meant to resemble a pillow, and that is because it’s released in conjunction with IKEA’s upcoming RestFest event. The event is held at all IKEA outlets islandwide and takes place from 6 September to 8 September.

During the event, customers can enjoy fun activities, workshops, food deals, and product offers, all themed around getting a good’s night sleep.
For example, you can buy any photo frame and get a free caricature of yourself drawn. The outlets will also have crafting sessions, where you can DIY a potpourri pouch, sensory bottle, and dreamcatcher.
How to get the IKEA RESTEN puffer bag
We know you’re just here for the deets on how to get the IKEA puffer bag, so here’s the lowdown.
First things first, you can’t actually buy the bag. Instead, you have to get it through several different event activations.
From 5 September to 15 September, spend $150 in a single receipt at any IKEA outlet, and you’ll be able to join their lucky draw. There, 10 lucky winners will be randomly selected to win the IKEA puffer bag.
Otherwise, join an IKEA pyjama party. From 6 September to 7 September, from 6pm to 12am, come to any IKEA outlet in your most imaginative streetwear. If you’re spotted by staff, you will get to win either a $200 IKEA gift card, or the tote bag. Winners are selected at 6pm, 8pm, and 10pm.
Finally, you can also join a social media contest. From 6 September to 8 September, visit any IKEA outlet and snap a picture at their standing mattress photobooth. Post it on your social media with the hashtag #RestFestatIKEA and you might stand to win the bag.

IKEA currently has 3 outlets islandwide: Jurong, Alexandra, and Tampines. Head down to your nearest one for RestFest in order to stand a chance to win the tote!
