From KitKat hair clips to Korean ramyeon earrings, fashion always seems to circle back to food for a dose of inspiration. The latest brand to jump on the bandwagon is Bottega Veneta with a pair of heels that bear an uncanny resemblance to instant noodles.
The leather open-toed mules first came to our attention on Diet Prada’s Instagram account. As they pointed out, the shoe’s macrame style on the top has the same light yellow Maggi shade. In case you can’t see the similarity, Diet Prada has inserted a picture of an actual slab of instant noodles next to a photo of the shoe.
At this point, we’re really hoping for a campaign image that shows the shoes in a stainless steel pot. Perhaps an egg or two at the side could make it look more aesthetic too. Bone apple tea.

Bottega Veneta isn’t the first to turn instant noodles into works of art. In 2017, Singaporean-based Indonesian artist, Cynthia Delaney Suwito, weaved instant noodles into fabric.
In her interview with the BBC, she said, “A lot of people say I’m obsessed with instant noodles, but I think the world is obsessed with it.” And now, we’re all obsessing over Bottega Veneta’s meme-worthy shoes.
Apart from instant noodles, Bottega Veneta’s new 2020 Pre-Fall collection also features an oversized bag that looks like Toast Box’s thick toast. Indeed, the fluffy fleece material and warm brown shade makes the huge tote look like a supersized slice of bread.
The price of the Bottega Veneta’s instant noodle shoes has not been disclosed yet, but we bet you’re gonna have to pay a hefty price for them. If you’re looking for something more affordable, you can start off with a cute pair of Pocky earrings.
