Getting a home with your significant other is a huge step. Before making such a commitment, couples tend to “test waters” by living together for a short period of time. While renting a place might be an ideal way to do so, not all have the financial freedom either.
Instead, there are several hotels in Singapore that offer monthly rentals or even extended stays just so you can get to know your BB even more.

An extended stay hotel is a hotel that allows guests to stay for more than a week. Most extended stay hotels have amenities like laundry machines and kitchenettes to make a guest’s long-term stay more convenient.
There are many reasons to choose to stay at an extended stay hotel. For example, if you’re in the midst of searching for a more permanent accommodation, on a long vacation, or trying to live alone for the first time.
It’s hard to say which one of the 28 districts in Singapore is the best place to stay as each has its own unique charm and advantages.
If you like to stay in places with cultural heritage, then consider neighbourhoods like Chinatown and Bugis.
On the other hand, Kent Ridge and Havelock are close to central Singapore. Stay at these neighbourhoods to be in close proximity to the CBD area as well as the more popular tourist spots in Singapore.
Prices can vary depending on the type of room that you choose to stay in as well as the location of the hotel. For the most part, an extended stay should cost around $70 to $400 per night.

Unfortunately, you are not allowed to rent a home for less than three consecutive months in Singapore.
Since residential properties in Singapore such as HDB flats and condominiums are meant for long-term stay, the government has implemented a law which stipulates that a lease for private properties and HDB flats must be at least three and six months respectively.
It’s common to see couples going for a “test drive” before committing to the down payment for a house or bidding for a BTO. Many hotels in Singapore offer such “previews,” through their monthly rentals or extended stays promotions.
Perhaps after this, you and your partner will finally say “I do!”
