From the otter-themed pop-up at Gardens By The Bay to Sanrio x Sentosa Island Lights, December is packed with photo ops for you to update your Instagram feed. Adding to the list of IG-worthy places to visit is the New Balance 327 diner-themed pop-up. On top of having a blast taking photos, you can also bring home freebies and stand a chance to win prizes from the gumball machine.
With a bright blue colour palette, neon signs and a striking feature wall designed by local artist collective Tell Your Children, every corner is a great spot to snap some shots. The American diner-style pop-up will make you feel as though you just stepped into Pop’s Diner in Riverdale.
Gather your besties and pretend like you’re Veronica, Betty, Jughead or Archie while sitting in the booth seats. To make sure you get the full diner experience, New Balance has furnished the pop-up with everything from a jukebox to the front of a vintage car with a license plate that reads “NB327”.
If you’re old enough to remember a time when payphones were a thing, you’ll appreciate this even more old-school version that comes in an eye-catching pink hue to liven up your IG Stories.

Although it is modelled after a diner, there is no food to be ordered at the pop-up. However, you can select 1 of 3 yummy holiday treats from Apiary, Two Men Bagel House and Windowsill Pies, when you purchase a pair of New Balance 327BTK ($169) or 327SFB ($169) sneakers. These are available while stocks last.
While the festive treats are only for those who purchase the 327BTK or 327SFB sneakers, cop a New Balance 327 sneaker in any colourway at the pop-up, and you will receive a customisable tote bag or t-shirt. This offer also extends to New Balance 327 sneaker purchases at New Balance Bugis Junction and Vivo City Lighthouse and Experience Stores, or on New Balance’s website.
Look for the customisation area at the New Balance 327 Diner and flex your creative side using the designs by Tell Your Children. Once you’re done, your one-of-a-kind tote bags or t-shirts will be digitally printed and you can pick it up on the spot.
In the spirit of giving, shoppers who spend $200 at the New Balance 327 Diner—or any New Balance Lighthouse and Experience stores—will also be entitled to one chance at the gumball machine.
Levi’s 327 sneakers
Within the gumball machine lies goodies such as a New Balance water bottle, cap, socks, and even 327 collaboration sneakers (Levi’s 327, Casablanca 327 or Aries 327) in fixed sizes.
The New Balance 327 Diner is located at #01-05 Bugis Junction from now to 27 December 2020. It is open from 11am to 9pm daily. Arrange a date with your friends and pop by the pop-up for some retail therapy before the year is over.
