If you already possess a Hydro flask or Starbucks colour-changing cup and a Kanken bag, you are halfway to becoming a Singaporean VSCO girl. Don’t stop there, throw on a tie-dye T-shirt and these pastel-coloured sneakers to complete your transformation into a full-fledged VSCO girl.
The Nike Air Max 97 sneakers have been trending since 2019. Its ‘kueh lapis’ layered design is eye-catching and fits well with the Hypebeast/bae style of donning outlandish graphic clothing and chunky sneakers.
For the season of Easter, Nike has launched this pastel Air Max 97 design, which looks like a tiered cake that is yummy enough to bite into. With a lime green sole and pastel blue, green and pink bands layered on top of each other, these shoes will match a millennial pink dress or T-shirt perfectly.
The Nike Air Force 1 Low “Easter 2020” is also worth checking out if you are into the pastel look. The classic Air Force 1 (which already looks fly in all white) has been given some unique touches.
The Nike swoosh appears in pale yellow outlined with a purple outline, while the front of the shoe has a gradient of pastel colours. A cracked egg motif also appears on the tongue and insole.
The Nike Air logo on the back has an iridescent effect to make this shoe stand out from the crowd.
Finally, Adidas will be launching its ever-popular NMD R1 design in a pastel tie-dye colourway. The body looks like watercolours bleeding into each other to create a unique pattern. Adidas’ 3 stripes and laces are overlaid in a washed out peach colour to turn this shoe into a pastel dream.
If your favourite app is VSCO, get these pastel sneakers to pose with your colour-changing cup and strike a pose for the ’gram—after making some edits on VSCO of course.
If you can’t get enough of pastel, you might also want to check out Samantha Jo Alonso’s tie-dyed socks and create some on your own to pair with the shoes.
