If Pandora’s bubble tea dangle charm wasn’t enough to impress your inner foodie-self, wait till you hear about this next accessory ‒ a roast duck gold pendant from jewellery brand Chow Tai Fook.
As quirky as it sounds, the pendant will no doubt have heads turning since you would normally expect to see roast ducks hanging on hooks in an eatery instead.
We usually enter a jewellery shop and pick out dainty, feminine-looking accessories, but it is not every day that you see something as unique as a roast duck gold pendant.
Made for those who enjoy both local food and a quirky accessory, this pendant is something you would want to consider wearing as a conversation starter.
Taking after a roast duck IRL, but without the oil and crispy skin, the pendant comes entirely in gold.
Closing in on the details, you can even see the outline of the duck’s breast. Yum.
As a loop is formed through the neck of the duck, the pendant allows you to weasel in a chain so you get to wear it either as a necklace or bracelet. The pendant weighs between 6g and 10g so rest assured that you will barely feel it on your body.
Good news for those who rather make a subtle statement, since the pendant comes in two sizes. The smaller one has dimensions of 3.7cm x 1.5cm x 1cm, whereas the bigger one has dimensions of 4.5cm x 2.2cm x 1.5cm.
While the gold pendant is from Chow Tai Fook, a check in with the brand confirmed that the pendants are only available from overseas stores for now.
Fingers crossed that they will be made available in Singapore outlets in the near future, with an updated pricing so we can wear our favourite dish with pride soon enough.
